The firm is involved in a wide range of commercial and industrial real estate transactions, covering the financing, acquisition, leasing, managing and development of commercial and industrial properties for domestic and foreign clients. Real estate transactions handled by the firm are not limited to property and contract law matters, but also include tax, environmental, land use and zoning matters. Our clients include national landlords and tenants, institutional lenders, banks, corporate and individual investors in office buildings, hotels and motels, shopping centers, warehouses, apartment projects, condominiums and raw land.

We have also served as local counsel for national and international firms (lenders and borrowers) in the purchase of existing structures and in the acquisition and development of commercial real estate.

The firm has significant involvement in representing banks and other lenders in negotiating and closing conventional real estate loans (construction and permanent), asset based and in government guaranteed programs, such as the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA 7a loans and SBA 504 loans), the USDA Rural Development and the USDA Rural Utility Services. As it relates to the closing of SBA loans, this firm closed in excess of $300 million in loans for each year of 2006, 2007 and 2008.

As it relates to the closing of RD loans, over the past ten years this firm has closed loan transactions in excess of $350 million.  These transactions included motels, nursing homes, convenience stores/gas stations, poultry farms, a Vidalia onion grower, purchase of railroad spur for the storage of railcars and locomotives, metal fabrication plants, food packaging facility, AC and heating refurbishing plant, pet food manufacturer, waste processing plant, vegetable processing and storage facility, sod and turf grower, nursery, water bottling facility, industrial and medical gas distribution plant, beverage and office products distributor, movie theater and polypropylene woven fabric and spiral tubes manufacturer.
